A pencil holder wearing a puffer jacket: quilted panels all round, with a zip, a collar and sleeves running up the sides. It holds pens, pencils, markers, brushes or small tools, and it is sturdy enough to be knocked about a desk. About two hours of printing, and the quilted panels take filament colours well - solid winter colours, pastels, or something loud.

A can cap that opens the can as well: press it over the top of a standard 355 ml tab can and the drink is covered between sips, with the opener moulded into the same part. It prints in one piece in about forty minutes with no supports. Designed by BUD THE RETIRED PRINT GUY and printed under Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-ND 4.0), unchanged as published. Shown as a render of the printable model, not a photograph.

A lid that presses onto an open drinks can and slides shut, keeping dust, wasps and debris out of a beer or a soda between sips. Two fits are on offer: the standard can, whose lid measures 1.4 by 1.9 inches, and a wider one at 1.5 by 2.4 inches for a fatter 16 oz rim. Each prints as a lid and its sliding cover, and the standard lid also comes in the designer's looser-fitting version for a can that runs tight. Designed by Tiger prints, who remixed EcoDad's Printables lid - both makers are credited on this page - and printed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0). Shown as a render of the printable model, not a photograph.

A strip that threads onto a guitar strap and holds a stack of picks, so a fresh one is within reach in the middle of a song: 100 mm long and 25 mm wide, printed in one piece. It sits on the strap rather than in a pocket, which is where picks go to be lost. Designed by willywidget and printed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). An LP on the wall: a back plate with a shelf the cover stands on and two brackets that hold the record upright in front of it, so the sleeve and the disc are both on show. 218 by 214 mm and 187 mm deep, printed as one piece. A pinecone geocache: a hollow cone with a screw-on cap and a loop at the top for a string or a length of wire, so it can hang in a branch. It prints in two pieces and neither needs supports. For a cache that lives outdoors, PETG keeps its shape in a hot car or a sunny hedge better than PLA. Designed by Soalar, who remixed it from Izak02's Pine cone cache - both makers are credited on this page. Printed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Shown as a render of the printable model, not a photograph.

A stand for a pair of drumsticks: a flat 195 mm base and a cradle post that takes them by the shaft, so they stand upright on a riser or a shelf instead of rolling off the kit. 238 mm across as printed, in two parts, with the post sitting in its seat on the base. A T-rex that holds your page: the dinosaur stands on the spine of the book with its legs either side, and the tail curls over the top. It prints flat in one piece, 3.6" tall. Shown as a render, not a photo.

A pick holder with four feet that stands on an amp or a desk: slanted slots take plectrums by the tip so they can be pulled out one at a time, and the block is 90 mm long, 28 mm wide and 12 mm tall. The slots are cut at an angle, which is what stops a pick sliding back down into the holder. Designed by gareth7562 and printed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Four plectrum shapes, two of each, printed flat as one sheet: a teardrop, a jazz point, a wide triangle and a rounded standard, at 1.0 and 1.4 mm so a player can find the thickness they like without buying four packs. Each pick is about 34 mm long and the texture on the back of the thicker ones keeps a sweaty thumb where it belongs. A practice mute for trombone, printed in three parts: the long tapered body that goes down into the bell, the flared cup that caps it, and the small collar that keeps the two together. 250 mm long and 193 mm across the cup, so it takes a full-size bell. The cup is what does the muting, so the horn can be played in an apartment without the neighbours learning the set list. A kicking tee for rugby: a 120 mm base with a stem that stands the ball at the angle a kicker wants, so a conversion or a kick-off starts from the same place every time. 110 mm deep and 72 mm tall, printed as one piece with a wide foot that will not skate on wet grass. A golf tee with a ball sitting on its cup, printed as one piece - a desk trophy, a party favour or a cake pick as much as a tee. 2.3" tall, and barely a gram of plastic. The picture is a render of the printable model - real photographs of the print go up once the first one is made.

A capo in two printed parts: a jaw that sits across the strings and the lever that clamps it down, 92 mm wide so it spans a standard six-string fretboard. It goes on the neck above the fret and holds the strings at the new position, which is what lets one shape be played in any key. A reading guide that frames one line at a time so the page cannot swim: 5.1" x 1.4", 1.4 mm thick, light enough to leave in a book. Kept for kids learning to read, and for anyone whose attention slides down a full page. Shown as a render of the printable model, not a photograph.

A plectrum printed flat at half a millimetre, 27 mm tall and 24 mm across, with the designer's design across the face - the pun in the name is the whole idea. Thin picks bend more than thick ones, so this is the one for strumming rather than for shredding. Designed by marshal.meacham and printed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).
