A top that keeps going: a heavy rim, a fine point and a printed handle to spin it between finger and thumb. 2.1" across, about 41 g of plastic. The picture is a render of the printable model - real photographs of the print go up once the first one is made.

Two strands twisted around each other into a pen stand: a double helix about 22 cm tall on a 14 cm square base, printed in one piece with nothing to assemble. Pens drop into the gaps between the rungs and lean out along the twist, so a handful of them fan apart instead of clumping together in a cup - and the base is wide enough that a full stand does not tip. Empty, it is a desk ornament rather than a mug with pens in it, which is most of what a pen holder does all day. Printed in PLA at a 0.2 mm layer, about 34 g of plastic. Designed by AndreUser and printed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). The picture is a render of the printable model - real photographs of the print go up once the first one is made.

The 2 to 9 times tables on one flat plate, 5" x 3.6" and 1.6 mm thick - a card that lives in a pencil case rather than on a screen. Shown as a render of the printable model, not a photograph.

A reading guide that frames one line at a time so the page cannot swim: 5.1" x 1.4", 1.4 mm thick, light enough to leave in a book. Kept for kids learning to read, and for anyone whose attention slides down a full page. Shown as a render of the printable model, not a photograph.

A stackable glasses stand: a fin that the cradles slide onto, so the tower grows to whatever height the collection needs. The cradles come in three widths - 67, 77 and 87 mm - and each holds one pair nose-down by the bridge, which suits slim readers and deep sunglass frames alike. The plate prints a whole tower's worth of parts, 167 by 199 mm laid out as the designer arranges it. The Thinker, sitting on a plinth with his chin on his fist and a pair of glasses resting across his knee: 101 by 141 mm and 114 mm tall, printed in one piece as a desk glasses holder. The pose is what does the work - a pair sits in the crook of the arm and the knee, so it is always where it was put. A modular glasses stand: a round 143 mm base with a spindle, a post that carries two long arms, and a cradle that stacks on the spindle, so two pairs or a shelf-full can be kept upright and out of the way. The arms take frames by the bridge and the base is heavy enough not to tip when one pair comes off. A soap dish shaped like a leaf, with the veins textured into the face. The file carries two bodies - a flat textured dish and a deeper one - and both are printed, so you get the pair and can keep the shallow one for a sponge. A taiko drummer whose drum is the holder: the hollow drum takes cotton swabs, and the figure's hands hold one snapped in half as a pair of drumsticks. Four printed parts - base, figure, drum and the rack behind him - and the drumsticks take a touch of glue to stay put, as the designer's own notes say. Sold as the set. A table number: the digit cut as one flat plate inside an ornate oval frame, standing in a round base. Pick the number you need - every digit from 0 to 9 - and it arrives as the frame and its base, ready to slot together. About 5 inches tall, so it reads from across a room without sitting between two guests. Designed by swirly1007, who made the set for their daughter's wedding, and printed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Shown as a render of the printable model, not a photograph.

A desk caddy printed in one piece: a raised back that stands a phone at a reading angle, a round well for pens, and a square tray for a watch, keys or a card, with a slot for a charging cable to pass through. It is 7.1" wide by 3.5" deep. Shown as a render, not a photo.

A hanging books-read counter: a sign with a row of numbers that slide into it, so the count can be moved along as the year goes. It is two plates - the sign with one of each number, and a second sign with the numbers again so the count can pass ten - and either can be bought on its own. Shown as a render, not a photo.

A planetary gear set printed in place: six small gears mesh between a sun gear and a toothed ring, so turning any one of them turns all the rest. It is 2.5" across and prints as a single piece with nothing to snap together. Shown as a render, not a photo.

An inner cone passes right through an outer one and neither of them comes apart - that is the whole trick, and it prints as a single piece. Roll it in your hands and the two bodies slide past each other, which is the part that keeps fingers busy. Printed in two colours the cones separate in the eye and the pass-through reads as impossible; printed in one it looks like a solid cone until it moves. The picture is a render of the printable model - real photographs of the print go up once the first one is made.

A ghost bookmark: a flat spectre that hooks over the page, thin enough not to splay the spine. There are seven of them in the file, each a slightly different ghost, so pick the one you want - about 1.2" by 4" and printed flat. Shown as a render, not a photo.

A hexagonal tube cut into one continuous spiral, so it springs and flexes in the hand and the turns of the helix roll past each other under a thumb. It prints as a single piece and needs no assembly, and it stands 2.8" tall by 1.3" across. Shown as a render, not a photo.
