A clip for holding a vegetable plant to its stick - two arms that open over the stem and grip a cane, so nothing has to be tied and nothing cuts into the plant as it thickens. Print it in PETG rather than PLA, which is what gives it the flex to open and close without cracking. About an inch across and all of 2 grams, so a whole row costs a few cents of filament. Two strands twisted around each other into a pen stand: a double helix about 22 cm tall on a 14 cm square base, printed in one piece with nothing to assemble. Pens drop into the gaps between the rungs and lean out along the twist, so a handful of them fan apart instead of clumping together in a cup - and the base is wide enough that a full stand does not tip. Empty, it is a desk ornament rather than a mug with pens in it, which is most of what a pen holder does all day. Printed in PLA at a 0.2 mm layer, about 34 g of plastic. A seed-starting tray built to sit under a tower hydroponic system: the seedlings germinate in the station while the tower is already running, so a crop goes in the moment the last one comes out.
